Jason Altman is a born and raised New Yorker.  He is recognized for his recurring guest star role "Herrmann" in seasons 5 & 6 of Orange is the New Black, and has appeared in numerous television series and independent films.

On the stage, Jason has performed off-broadway at the Cherry Lane Theater, Soho Playhouse, June Havoc Theater, among others.

He is a graduate of the esteemed Meisner program at the William Esper Studio in NYC, and holds a BA in English from CUNY Queens College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

He currently resides in the NYC area with his wife Ivy, daughter Lylah, and cockapoo Westy.
